OUR QUALITY

True luxury begins with the integrity of the structure itself. Our passion for building science brings lasting strength, comfort, efficiency, and exceptional craftsmanship to every home.
Beautiful architecture is only part of the Plattner standard. Advanced wall systems, insulation, and carefully selected building products form a continuous thermal envelope to improve comfort, durability, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality.
A disciplined construction process protects the home from moisture and temperature extremes, reduces noise and HVAC demand, and supports long-term value without sacrificing the refined finish of a custom luxury home.

A complete thermal blanket
Fully encapsulated and conditioned crawl spaces, 2×6 framing, ZIP System wall and roof assemblies, and premium spray foam work together to wrap the home in continuous protection from energy loss, moisture intrusion, and outdoor temperature extremes.

ZIP R wall envelope
ZIP R sheathing combines structural sheathing, weather protection, and continuous exterior insulation. Rigid foam between the exterior wall surface and framing helps reduce thermal bridging, while the integrated weather-resistant barrier protects against air and moisture intrusion.

ZIP System roofing
Structural roof sheathing with a built-in weather-resistant barrier provides a tightly sealed, durable roof assembly. Sealed panels help protect against moisture during construction and throughout the life of the roof, while improving air tightness and energy efficiency.

Encapsulated & conditioned crawl spaces
Sealing and conditioning the space beneath the home helps manage temperature and humidity from the ground up. It supports indoor comfort and efficiency, reduces HVAC strain, and protects against the moisture that can contribute to mold, mildew, and wood rot.

AdvanTech engineered subflooring
Moisture-resistant AdvanTech panels and a precision tongue-and-groove system create a strong, stable floor. High-density engineered wood provides stiffness and fastener-holding power for a quieter, more solid feel underfoot.

Spray foam insulation
Open-cell spray foam fills gaps and hard-to-reach spaces. Combined with 2×6 walls, approximately 5.5 inches of insulation helps create a tightly sealed thermal envelope, reduce outside noise, and maintain consistent temperatures.
Smart, healthy air management
Fresh air intake and exhaust systems manage airflow and pressure within the tight building envelope. Energy recovery ventilation, whole-home dehumidification, high-performance filtration, purification, and UVC technology help reduce allergens, pollutants, excess moisture, odors, and airborne contaminants.
A refined finish
Plattner uses 5/8-inch drywall throughout for added sound reduction and strength, with a Level 5 finish that creates a smooth surface for beautifully painted walls.
